Race cars, trailer reported stolen
WEST BEND – The Palo Alto County sheriff’s office is asking anyone who has information about a burglary at 5127 480th St., near West Bend, to contact the office, (712) 852-3535.
On Thursday, the Palo Alto sheriff’s office took a report of a burglary at that address. Sometime within the last two weeks, forced entry was made on a building there. Two open-wheeled race cars were stolen along with a red car trailer. Tools and parts to the cars were also taken.
One car has an exposed purple frame, and the other has an exposed white frame. Both cars were in the process of being rebuilt. Total value of the property taken is estimated at $15,000 to $20,000.
