Miller joins FD planning staff
An experienced planner has moved from the MIDAS Council of Governments to the Fort Dodge city staff.
Carissa Miller has been named the new associate city planner.
She replaces Angela Torres, who resigned earlier this year to take a job with the Metropolitan Planning Commission in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area of Minnesota.
Miller worked as a planner for the Ford Dodge-based MIDAS Council of Governments for the past three years. In that capacity, she prepared a hazard mitigation plan for the city and handled the buyout of flood-damaged properties in the Breen Addition north of Fort Dodge.
She has a bachelor’s degree in community and regional planning from Iowa State University in Ames.
