GREENE – Marian ‘Mick’ Starkweather, 82, of Greene, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the Liebe Care Center in Greene. Funeral services will be held 10:30 am, Monday at First Presbyterian Church, Greene with Pastor Jenny Ehlers presiding. Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Greene.

Visitation will be 5:00 7:00 pm Sunday at Reid’s Funeral Chapel, 519 N. First Street, Greene with a Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m.

Marian V. ‘Mick’ Starkweather was born November 23, 1930 in Marshalltown the youngest of eight children to George and Helen (Goldhorn) Peters. At a young age her family moved to the Greene area.

Mick was united in marriage with Clarence Junior Starkweather November 10, 1950 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. They made their home in Greene raising their two daughters.

She was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church in Greene and the Legion Auxiliary.

Cherishing her memory are her daughters: Valerie (Brad) Wehde, Fort Dodge; Terri (Michael) Behnke, Greene; grandchildren: Julie (Chris) Ulrich and their children Brielle, Sabrynn & Jace; Kevin (Kim) Wehde and their children Kole and Karson; Ryan (Joanie) Behnke and their son Bentley; Kurt (Erin) Behnke; brother: Lawrence Peters, Charles City and many nieces and nephews.
