Clare library to host mussel program
CLARE – Jennifer Kurth, natural resource biologist, will present an environmental program on mussels at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Clare Public Library.
Kurth will show a video and mussel shells, and explain about the unique life cycle and interesting adaptations of mussels, which keep water clean by acting as filters.
Following the presentation, participants will be welcome to attempt to paddle down Lizard Creek from Lentsch access to Rasch access.
Vessels are limited, so those wanting to paddle should reserve a canoe or kayak by calling 576-4258 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
