DES MOINES – Duane McLoud, 75, passed away June 17, 2013 at his home. Visitation and a time for sharing will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 22 at the Chapel of Peace Mausoleum at North Lawn Cemetery in Fort Dodge.

Duane was born December 4, 1937 in Fort Dodge, the son of Gladys (Long) and George McLoud. Duane served in the U.S. Army from 1954-56. He lived in Fort Dodge for 31 years and moved to Des Moines in 1969. He worked as an auto mechanic for 18 years and in maintenance at Valley View Village, Des Moines.

Duane loved his family. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a member of the V.F.W.

He is survived by his wife, Annette; daughters, Donna (Tim) Walker, Becky (Jim) Heldenbrand and Karen Callison; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, David and Roger; and a sister, Georgia Rayphole. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Judy and brother, Gary.
