She is preceded in death by her parents, Boyd and Edith (Ball) Dewey Sr., her sisters, Helen Schuur and Pauline Forness and her special Aunt Margaret Dewey.
Ardis was born December 15, 1935, in Fort Dodge. She attended school at Riverside West in Fort Dodge until 1944 when they moved to Vancouver, WA. She graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High School in 1954. She was confirmed and baptized in 1954 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. On June 19, 1955, Ardis was united in marriage to Alfred Klingson and they were happily married for 57 years. She worked at the Colonial Inn until retiring.
Ardis was a member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, Danish Circle and American Auxiliary 592. She loved her family first and foremost. She and Alfred were inseparable. Her greatest accomplishment was raising four boys and giving them a solid foundation to build their marriages upon. She dearly loved all her grandkids and enjoyed watching all of their activities. She was an avid baker and spent many hours in the kitchen. Whether it be a large Christmas dinner or making goodies to send home with the kids, she did it all! She enjoyed her Wednesday mornings with her coffee friends and spending the last 14 winters in Texas.
She will be deeply missed by all.
