HUMBOLDT – Agnes Marie Lodden, 92, of Humboldt, passed away May 28, 2013 at the Humboldt Care Center South. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Humboldt. Interment will be in Our Saviour’s Cemetery, Rural Humboldt. Visitation is 10:00 a.m. Saturday until the time of the service. Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Agnes Marie Lodden was born to Torstein (Ted) and Josephine (Josie) (Skogen) Helgeland on December 5, 1920, in Bricelyn, MN. She was baptized and confirmed at Bethany Lutheran Church, rural Frost, MN and graduated from Bricelyn high school. Agnes received her RN degree in nursing from the Naeve Hospital in Albert Lea, MN and was a private duty nurse before getting married.

On September 18, 1946 she married Joseph Lodden, of Estherville, and in 1950 they made their home in Humboldt, IA. Mr. Lodden passed away in 1997. Agnes was an active member of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Humboldt where she faithfully attended bible studies and circle. She put her faith into action and regularly called upon others who were homebound or in nursing homes. Agnes loved the Lord and always found the opportunity to share her faith. Two of her great interests were baking and sewing. She loved her family and enjoyed the many get-togethers in the family home.

Agnes is survived by her sons, Terry Lodden, Dawson, MN; Duane Lodden, Fort Dodge, IA, Dan ((Marita) Humboldt, IA; her daughters Sonja (Don) Petherbridge, Fort Dodge, IA; Karen Lodden, Des Moines, IA; Soveig (Scott) Lundgre, Fort Dodge, IA; her grandchildren, Amanda Lodden, Omaha, NE; Michael (Jaymie) Petherbridge, Sonaoma, CA; Anne Petherbridge, Hamilton, N.S.W., Australia; Kristian Lodden, Des Moines, IA amd many nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, Selma Kiihn, Esther Hovland, Vivian Olson: three brothers, Norman, Gilman and Jerome Helgeland.
