Food drive succeeds
To the editor:
May 11 was the annual letter carriers food drive.
I would like to thank Citizens Community Credit Union, Domino’s, Hy-Vee, the radio stations, Target and Wal-Mart for getting the word out for our food drive. I would also like to thank the eighth-grade cheerleaders for helping unload, sort and reload the vehicles; plus all the letter carriers and rural carriers who picked up the food items.
As usual the items went to Beacon of Hope, Domestic/Sexual Assault Outreach Center, Lord’s Cupboard. Salvation Army, Youth Shelter and YWCA. I would especially like to thank all the people from Fort Dodge and Otho who gave so generously. With your help we collected over 6,000 pounds of items to give to those local organizations. Please keep us in mind for next year. Our food drive is always on the second Saturday of May.
Once again thanks for all who helped.
