Janice E. Dolder, 77, of Fort Dodge, died Thursday, May 16, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

A service honoring Janice’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21, at Epworth United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Erling Shultz officiating. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery. The visitation is 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday at the Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Memorials may be directed to the discretion of the family.

Janice is survived by her son, Steven (Debbie) Dolder, Fort Dodge, and her grandson Robert S. Dolder, her step-grandchildren Amie Dennis and Tony Blomberg, and her step-great-grandchildren, Tanner and Trevor Dennis; her son, Kevin (Sandra) Dolder, Clare, and her grandchildren, Ben, Haleigh, Lucas and Michelle Dolder; her daughter, Dena (Tom) Hofbauer, Moorland, and her grandchild, Molly (fiance’ Casey Pipel), and her great-grandchildren Aydan, and Corbyn, her granddaughter Mallory (Chris) Nelson and her great-grandchild, Kinsley; her grandsons, Andy and Austin; and her beloved pet Lexi. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her parents, her sister Eunice Zemke, a brother Stanley Betters, and her infant brother Norman Betters.

Janice Eileen. Betters, the daughter of Phillip and Elsie (Stanbra) Betters, was born August 2, 1935 in Fort Dodge. She graduated from Fort Dodge Senior High in 1953. On July 16, 1955, Janice was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Dolder at Epworth United Methodist Church in Fort Dodge. Janice was a homemaker.

Janice was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church, Charity Circle, Administrative Council and Circuit Riders Sunday school class. She enjoyed baking, cooking, being outside and growing her flowers along with camping and fishing. Janice especially enjoyed playing with her babies.
