In 1952, the couple established their home in Vincent. In 1966, the couple established Olsen Plumbing, Trenching, and Well Repair. Virginia was a loving homemaker and the couple operated the business until 1986. After Leonard passed away in 1995, Virginia moved to Fort Dodge in 1998. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church.

Virginia loved shopping, especially with her sisters. On Tuesday nights she could be found down at Lefti’s enjoying a meal and laughs with friends. However, spending time with grandchildren at sporting events, visits to Des Moines, or even chats on the phone were the most important times to Virginia.
