ST. JOSEPH – Norma Ann Besch was born August 8, 1942, at Ft. Dodge, Iowa, to Joseph and Christina (Origer) Becker. Norma graduated from Garrigan High School in 1960 then worked at the phone company in Humboldt until her marriage to Don Besch on September 14, 1963 at St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Norma died at her home in Monroe, Wisconsin on Friday, April 26, 2013 following a short illness at the age of 70.
Survivors include her husband Don of Monroe, Wisconsin, son Steve Besch and wife Susan of Chicago, Illinois, daughter Laurie and husband Richard Caruso of Salt Lake City, Utah, son Brian Besch of Salt Lake City, Utah, son Larry Larsen of Olds, Iowa and son Terry Larsen and wife Kathy of Muscatine, Iowa. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Kayla, Taylor, Brody, Cassie, Nate and Marissa as well as sister Eleanor and husband Richard Zeman of Ottosen, Iowa, sister Lori Merrill of Humboldt, Iowa, sister Mary and husband Herb Staub of Coralville, Iowaand brother Joe Becker and wife Patricia of Austin, Minnesota. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Becker, Christina Becker, sister Jean and husband Jim Larsen as well as in-laws, Ed and Alice Besch, Karen Besch, Janice Wood and Bob Merrill.
Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 3, 2013 at 10:30 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Joe with Father Paul Eisele and Father Merle Kollasch concelebrating. Interment in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 8 PM Thursday at the church with a Rosary prayed at 7:00 PM and a Prayer service to follow. Oakcrest Funeral Services of Algona is in charge of arrangements.
