Neal A. Strutzenberg, 82, of Manson, died Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at his home.
A service honoring Neal’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Knierim, with the Rev. Chadric Dietrich officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Saturday at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
Neal is survived by his children, Kent (Brenda) Strutzenberg, Manson; Keith (Sandy) Strutzenberg, Chandler, Ariz.; Jane (Doug) Jones, Johnston; Rolf (Jennifer) Strutzenberg, Redondo Beach, Calif.; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother Rolf.
Neal Albert Strutzenberg, the son of Albert and Evelyn (Diemel) Strutzenberg, was born on December 9, 1930, in the family home in rural Calhoun County near Knierim. He attended country school near his home and graduated from Manson High School. Neal farmed near Knierim until his retirement in 1993.
Neal enjoyed fishing, hunting and golfing. He was a private pilot, was a model plane enthusiast and liked to work on antique tractors. Neal especially treasured time spent with his family.
