Celebration includes April 28 concert

Glenn Henriksen, a pianist and organist, will be performing a concert at 2 p.m. April 28 at St. Paul Lutheran Church. The Dariette will serve ice cream with toppings following the concert. Both the concert and refreshments are free.

This event is one of several planned by the congregation during 2013 as part of its 150th anniversary celebration, “Generation to Generation Sharing Jesus.” Funding for this event is provided by the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Foundation, Inc.

Henriksen began piano lessons at the age of seven, and continued through high school. At age thirteen he became the organist at his hometown church. Henriksen attended Luther College in Decorah and received further musical instruction. In the years following, he has played for a wide variety of events, including solo piano and organ concerts, church services, weddings, funerals, receptions, and other social activities. His repertoire includes classical, ragtime, blues and jazz, standards, pop and rock, country, Latin, gospel, and sacred. Glenn’s lifetime experience in many musical genres has enabled him to develop a unique musical style, resulting in one-of-a-kind improvised arrangements.
