EG police search for suspect in robbery

EAGLE GROVE – Photos of a suspect who police say robbed the Eagle Grove Kum & Go last week were released Tuesday as investigators try to figure out the identity of the robber.

The crime happened at 3:10 a.m. on April 3, according to Eagle Grove Police Capt. Josh Kuisle.

A man walked into the Kum & Go, 1120 S. Commercial Ave., and demanded all the money in the cash register.

Kuisle said the man was carrying a short, wooden bat.

The robbery suspect then left the store and got into an older, light colored, 1980s-style sedan that had large, rectangular tail lights.

The clerk told police the suspect was white, about 6 feet tall with brown hair and brown eyes, and was wearing black, thick-framed, rectangular-shaped glasses. He was also described as having a deep voice.

He wore a black ski mask, dark gray sweatshirt, blue jeans and gray shoes, according to Kuisle. The suspect was also wearing white gloves with green palms and a black belt that hung below the middle of his left thigh.

The clerk also told police he saw part of a red shirt sticking out from underneath the man’s sweatshirt.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Eagle Grove Police Department at 448-4793.
