Ray P. Cox, 75, of Fort Dodge, died Saturday, April 6, 2013, at his residence.

The family will greet friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday at the Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Memorials may be directed to the discretion of the family.

Ray is survived by his wife Dale; his children, Kevin Cox, Ontario, Calif.; Lori Pearson, Fort Dodge; Tracy (Masood) Sajady, Chanhassen, Minn.; Ray (Emily) Cox, Iowa; Frank Cox, Fort Worth, Tex.; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; and his brothers, Jerry (Nelda) Cox, Vancouver, Wash.; and Gordon (Liz) Cox, Eureka, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Joyce.

Ray Pierce Cox, the son of Ray and Thelma (Goodrich) Cox, was born March 26, 1938, in Coshocton, Ohio. He was reared and educated in Michigan and moved to California where he served in the U.S. Marine Corps. In 1981, Ray moved to Fort Dodge where he managed Omaha Cold Storage until his retirement.

Ray’s passions were hunting, golfing and bowling.
