School Administrators of Iowa announced David Keane, Fort Dodge Senior High principal, as a finalist for the 2013 Iowa Secondary Principal of the Year award.

“We are pleased to recognize school leaders who are committed to excellence in education and serve as role models of learning in their communities,” Dan Smith, SAI executive director, said.

Keane was nominated for the award by his peers. He will be recognized at SAI’s annual conference Aug. 7 in Des Moines, along with award recipient Trent Grundmeyer of Indianola and other nominees.
