Legal Aid attorney to visit Rockwell City
ROCKWELL CITY – An attorney from Iowa Legal Aid will be at the Calhoun County General Assistance in Rockwell City, from 8:30 a.m to 11 a.m. on April 19. Iowa Legal Aid provides free legal assistance to low-income Iowans in civil (noncriminal) cases. People who need assistive devices or services (such as a sign language interpreter) should contact Iowa Legal Aid as much in advance as possible, by calling (800) 332-0021.
People who are low-income, have a legal problem, and cannot be present at the Calhoun County General Assistance at the above time and date, can contact Iowa Legal Aid by calling (800) 332-0021 on weekdays form 9 to 11 a.m. and from 1:30 p.m to 3:30 p.m. except Thursday afternoon. During those times, Iowa Legal Aid takes new applications for legal services over the phone. If there is an emergency, an application can be taken over the phone anytime Monday through Friday between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
