Grace marks Palm Sunday, Holy Week

Grace Lutheran Church will hold Palm Sunday services at 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. Sunday at the church, 211 S. Ninth St., with palm procession and reading of the Passion Story according to St. Luke. The services will also include a message by the Rev. Matthew Martens and Holy Communion. Between services, there will be an intergenerational talent show. The ARiSE Youth Group will hold a Bake Sale and Birdhouse sale after each service. Visitors are welcome.

On Maundy Thursday, worship is held at 10:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. The theme is “Finding Communion.” The morning service will be followed by a salad luncheon in the Fireside Room.

On Good Friday, there will be a choral and scripture service of Tenebrae (shadows) starting at 7 p.m. The choir will sing a selection of anthems under direction of Bruce Perry.

On Easter Sunday, the church will celebrate the joy of Jesus’ resurrection at 8:30 and 10:45 a.m. The theme is “Remembering the Resurrection.” Fellowship time is held between services. For more information about these Holy Week services, call 576-4106.
