MANSON – Patrick Joseph Keller, 74, died at Trinity Regional Hospital in Fort Dodge on Monday, March 18, 2013.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 21 from 4 until 6:30 p.m. at Larson-Weishaar Funeral Home in Manson, followed by a memorial service at 6:30 p.m. Private interment will be done at a later date at the convenience of the family.

Patrick is survived by his wife Susan; his children Neal Keller of Portland, OR; Iris Hanlon of Foley, AL; Linda Janssen of Manson, IA; Lori Neet (Eric Barnett) of Cedar Rapids, IA; Kathleen (Thomas) Morrison of Long Beach, MS; John (Tiffani) Keller of Curlew, IA; Joan (David) Smith of Manson, IA; sons-in-law Lonnie Neet of Emmetsburg, IA; David Janssen of Gilmore City, IA; 17 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several brothers and sisters.

Patrick Joseph Keller was born on Feb. 16, 1939, at Kilrush, County Clare, Ireland, the son of Patrick and Nora (Honan) Keller. As a young man he was a boxer in Ireland until coming to the U.S. in 1958 where he began working as an electrician. After serving in the U.S. Army for six years, he was honorably discharged and moved to Fort Dodge where he again worked as an electrician. He met and married Susan McCaulley on June 11, 1965, and worked for the Illinois Central railroad until he was injured by a falling railroad tie. Pat enjoyed fishing, gardening, boxing, cooking, and playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
