Southfield sets egg hunts, offers crafts

WEBSTER CITY – The sixth Annual Easter Eggstravaganza will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Independent and Assisted Living Apartments of Southfield Wellness Community, 2414 Des Moines Street, Webster City.

Two Easter egg hunts are scheduled, one at 10:30 a.m. for the 1 to 4 year olds and another at 11:30 a.m. for the 5 to 8 year olds. There will be an opportunity for children to meet the bunny and pose for a photo. Adults may bring their cameras. 4-H members will be displaying their tame rabbits and a baby lamb. McMurray Hatchery will be donating one-day old, fluffy chicks. There will be Easter crafts for the children to make and take home.

The event is free. Refreshments will be provided. There will be an Easter bake sale with proceeds going to resident activities.
