BANNING, Calif. – Vernon Lee Joiner, 79, of Banning, California, passed away February 20, 2013 at his home. He was cremated and a family get together was held at his home on Saturday March 2, 2013 with burial to be at a later date. The Mason-Lindhart Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Vernon Joiner is survived by his wife Patsy who he married in 1995, his children, Jerilyn Joiner, Brent (Suzanne) Joiner, and Jaylene (Russell) Larsen and grand children Ian and Madison.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant brother Gerald in 1941 and followed by sister Virginia Hope (Joiner) Hundertmark who just passed away March 5th 2013 in Humboldt, Iowa.

Vernon Lee Joiner, the son of Lewis Gerald Joiner and Geneva Beatrice Johnson in Humboldt, was born February 4, 1934 at Humboldt, Iowa. He received his education and graduated from the Humboldt High School class of 1951. Vernon was in the Navy from 1952 to 1954 and then moved to California in 1959 and married wife Betty in June of 1960 and divorced in 1982. Vernon worked at Rockwell International Aerospace from 1959 through 1990. Vernon enjoyed going to Vegas and golfing.
