Donald A. Peck, 73, of Fort Dodge passed away on Monday, February 11, 2013 at Trinity Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 15, 2013 at the Gunderson Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Grindberg officiating. The visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at Gunderson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

Don was born in Fort Dodge to Charles and Sula (Jordison) Peck on April 1, 1939. He was raised by his aunt and uncle Ruth and John Thobaben after his parents died. He lived in Fort Dodge all of his life. He was employed by Hanson Produce, Hormel and Wal-Mart. He also owned Amco Steel Fence Co. for a short time. He loved fishing, hunting and enjoyed his family and grandchildren.

Don is survived by his wife Joyce; son Jerry (Darcy) Peck and their children Ashley and Taylor of Oswego, IL; daughters Amy (Bruce) Walrod and their children Bailey, Katie and Carson of Moorland, IA and Lori (Bob) Cook and their children Collin and Nicole of Fort Dodge. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Sula; his brother Rex; his sister Beverly and uncle and aunt John and Ruth.

Memorials may be left to the discretion of the family.
