Police: No sufficient evidence of foul play in death
There is no sufficient evidence that foul play was involved in the Saturday death of a Fort Dodge man, police said Monday.
Stephen Torrez, 42, of Fort Dodge, was pronounced dead Saturday night at 519 Central Ave., No. 2. Police were dispatched to the apartment after receiving a call about two people who weren’t responding. Officers also found Carrie Perez, 36, unconscious at the apartment. She was taken to Trinity Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Police Chief Tim Carmody said officers are still investigating the case, and are asking anybody with information to call them at 573-1426.
