John E. “Jack” Graham, 78, of Fort Dodge passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Thursday, January 24, 2013 at Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home and 10:30 AM at Corpus Christi Church, where Msgr. Kevin McCoy will officiate the Mass of Christian Burial. Private family burial will be at Corpus Christi Cemetery. A visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home with a vigil at 7:00 PM.

Jack is survived by his wife, Marilyn; children, Eileen (Bill) Schmigel of Ridgecrest, CA; Tim (Kris) Graham of Longmont, CO; Kathleen Sorensen of Springfield, IL; Howard Graham of Leawood, KS; John (Deb) Graham of Fort Dodge; and David (Katie) Graham of Kansas City, MO; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother-in-laws, Jim (June) Glaser and Tucker Glaser; sister-in-laws, Diane Scott and Pat Glaser.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Dr. Howard and Pat (Kelley) Graham; sister, Rosemary Norris and brother-in-law, Bob Glaser.

John Graham was born July 12, 1934 in Chicago, Illinois. He was raised in Galesburg, Illinois where he attended grade school. He graduated from Campion High School in Prairie Du Chien, Wisconsin. He then attended and graduated from Regis College in Denver, Colorado. Jack was united in marriage to Marilyn Glaser on June 22, 1957 at Corpus Christi Church in Fort Dodge. He worked for Gus Glaser Meats until he purchased Graham True Value Hardware in Algona. While owning and operating Graham True Value Hardware, Jack volunteered as an EMT and was the Ambulance Administrator for Algona. After retirement Jack and Marilyn returned to Fort Dodge. Jack loved spending time with his family and grandchildren and spending time at Mud Lake.
