Holy Family Cluster plans Haiti mission
CLARION – The Holy Family Cluster, which includes Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Eagle Grove, St. John Parish in Clarion, and St. Francis Xavier Parish in Belmond, is planning a medical mission to its sister parish, Our Lady of the Assumption, in Anse Rouge, Haiti.
Twelve parishioners and community members will be in Haiti from Feb. 5 to 12.
They will take medical supplies and help set up a village clinic.
The group is collecting supplies for the trip. Monetary donations are also welcomed to help buy prescription medications.
Those going include Monica Staudt, Jerry Temeyer, Tim Nagel, Monica Siemens, Jon and Becky Ahrendsen, all of Clarion; Mickey Cooper, of Eagle Grove, and Katie Legvold, of Wichita, Kan.; Joan Kresser, of Raymond; Victor De Marco, of Ohio; Katy Miller, of Iowa City; and Perry Brown, of Belmond.
